Welcome to the Netherton and Sefton Team Ministry, home to St Oswald’s and St Helen’s churches in the Diocese of Liverpool. Our parishes are dedicated to nurturing spiritual growth, welcoming all who seek to know Jesus, and serving our local community with compassion and justice. St Oswald’s is part of the wider Diocese of Liverpool’s Fit for Mission programme, which supports us in growing a bigger church that makes a bigger difference. Sefton Church has chosen not to be part of Fit for Mission, but together we strive to be a welcoming, inclusive, and active community, rooted in prayer and committed to sharing God’s love.

Each church has different character and style, a different history and tradition, but we seek to work together and learn from each other, supporting each other each other across diverse  communities. Our united purpose is to worship God and to serve the people of these parishes in faith and love and hope, following the commandment of Jesus to:

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbour as yourself. Matthew 22.37, 39

On the 5th Sunday of the month we meet for Team worship, alternating locations.
